Erik is a 12-year-old 6th grader from Boston, Massachusetts. His favorite subject in school is science and he wants to be a robotic engineer to help other cancer patients. He was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma in 2017 but now is off treatment and cancer free. He met Darlene, Boston’s Master Teaching Artist, at The Jimmy Fund and signed up for the Shutterbugs program. Erik’s interest in photography was sparked when his father bought a camera and Erik was curious how to use it. He loves being able to document the beauty of a subject and photography gives him an excuse to spend more time outdoors. Learning and experiencing a camera obscura was one of his favorite moments as a Pablove Shutterbug. Erik wants to spread the word of Pablove to help make the next childhood cancer patient’s experience better through our program.
